Stüken’s core competence, deep-drawing technology, is characterised by the use of substantially less raw material as compared to other metal fabrication processes. Our deep draw technology alone contributes to the protection of our environment.

In addition, Stueken’s business philosophy and operating principles demand the responsible and economic handling of all raw materials and resources. In accordance with these principles we view the application of operational environmental controls and industrial safety practices as high priority items within our company and in this regard, confirm that our environmental management system is in accordance with ISO 14001.

Environmental protection is viewed as the responsibility of each employee. We push for their continuous improvement with on-going training and the disposition of related environmental information.

We understand our company’s legal obligations with regard to the environment and industrial safety and we are consistently in compliance with all requirements.

We ensure the conservation of all natural resources, with particular attention to the use of water, energy and raw materials. Our products, processes and procedures are evaluated to consider any risk to the environmental or industrial safety. We perform risk assessment analysis and develop goals and metrics to ensure the protection of our employees and the environment.

We continuously seek replacement alternatives for any materials judged to be dangerous and also work to reduce the volume of waste materials generated in our facility. Materials that can be recycled are handled in accordance with ecologically sound practices.

We have developed both preventative as well as emergency situation plans to deal with any dangerous situation.

Together with our customers and suppliers we examine possibilities for environmentally friendly product designs, recycling activities and disposal as well as packing and transport.

We inform service providers and sub-contractors working in our factories about Stueken’s environmental policy and include them in our environmental management efforts.
