Material deformation during the deep drawing process simultaneously enhances physical characteristics yielding a precise, tight tolerance finished product.

The expert defines deep drawing as ‚Compression shaping of sheet metal into a hollow shape … or reducing the circumference of a hollow part by compression shaping without intentional change in wall thickness’.

Sounds complicated. The principle however, is simple: circular blanks are drawn into desired shapes via a series of precise and gradual successive steps without destroying the material grain structure. This is why the deep drawing process is ideal for the forming of highly precise components with thin walled and elaborate contours and defined tensile.
